The Colon Cancer Risk Assessment uses simple questions about your health, your family history, and your lifestyle to determine the chance or probability of you developing the disease. It doesn't mean you will. What it does mean is that current scientific research indicates that the health characteristics you exhibit today when answering these questions are shared by persons who develop colon cancer.

Female: Is your height greater than 5'5"?
Male: Is your height greater than 5' 9"?
What is your age?
Do you have inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis?
Family History
Do you have a close relative who has had colon cancer?
Diet & Lifestyle
Do you drink alcohol?

Do you eat 3 or more servings of fruits and vegetables every day?
Are you overweight?
Do you take birth control pills?
Do you take hormonal replacement therapy?
Do you exercise 3-4 times per week for at least 1 hour (i.e. vigorous walking, biking, hiking, aerobics)?
Do you eat at least one serving of red meat (beef, pork, lamb) every day?
Do you take a multi-vitamin with folic acid every day?
Do you take aspirin 3-4 times per week?
